Old Pictures of Aiken To Be Shown at March Meeting
Our last meeting until Fall will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. at the Beech Island Historical Society’s History & Visitors Center at 144 Old Jackson Highway in Beech Island, SC. The speaker will be Allen Riddick, Aiken resident and President of the Aiken County Historical Society. He will show some of his collection of old Aiken photos from the 1880s-1950s. This program was originally scheduled for our January meeting, but that meeting was canceled due to bad weather and Covid. Allen is the author of two books about Aiken — Memories of Growing Up In Aiken, SC and Aiken County Schools.
