At our meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 7:30 p.m., our speaker will be Ren “Warrior Wolf” Herdman, a tribal member of the Appalachian Cherokee Nation, a 501c3 educational tribe located in the Appalachian region of Virginia and a descendant of Jesse Brock, a Cherokee who fought on behalf of the Patriots in the Revolutionary War. She will be speaking on “Native America: Different Tribes, Different Journeys” which highlights the tribal differences between the Eastern Woodland Indians and Plains Indians.
